Life and work
The story behind the role.
Zehra Neşe Kavak has served as a TFF vice president and executive committee member with responsibility for FIFA and UEFA relations, external relations and health affairs. Her professional biography also lists UEFA Medical Committee membership from 2025.
A Cerrahpaşa medical graduate, she trained at St Thomas’ Hospital in London and worked in perinatology at King’s College Hospital. She established Marmara University Hospital’s perinatology unit in 2001, became a professor that year and served as the hospital’s chief physician from 2001 to 2005.
Her academic leadership includes heading Marmara’s perinatology division from 2001 to 2011 and appointment as founding rector of İstanbul Kent University in 2017. She has chaired Academic Hospital / Academic Group and researched prenatal ultrasound and invasive procedures during pregnancy.
