Coaches
Ömer Petorak
Long-serving women's basketball coach and Beşiktaş BOA assistant coach.
Life and work
The story behind the role.
Ömer Petorak is a Turkish basketball coach whose career has centred on the women's game. Beşiktaş appointed him to the Beşiktaş BOA staff as an assistant coach on 5 May 2025, and the club's current team-staff directory continues to list him in that role.
His association with Beşiktaş spans separate periods. The club listed Petorak as an assistant coach in its 2011–12 women's-team staff and published his match preparations during that season. In 2024, after serving for one and a half seasons as head coach of Yalova VİP, he joined Bodrum Basketbol as an assistant following the club's promotion to the Women's Basketball Super League.
A career account published during that move records earlier work with Galatasaray, Migros, TED Kayseri, İTÜ and Banvit, as well as service on the staff of Türkiye's senior women's national team when it finished second in Europe. Those historical appointments are separated here from his current Beşiktaş post.
