Life and work

The story behind the role.

Mehmet Yanardağ completed physical therapy and rehabilitation training at Hacettepe University in 1998, a cardiopulmonary rehabilitation master’s degree in 2001 and a sports physiotherapy doctorate in 2007. His doctoral research examined how different exercise interventions affect motor performance and stereotyped behaviors in autistic children.

His master’s work compared physical fitness in women with and without intellectual disability. Anadolu University records appointments in its Research Institute for Individuals with Disabilities, including a professorship beginning in 2020. His listed research fields include sports health sciences and physiotherapy. His contribution belongs to adapted exercise and disability-related rehabilitation, extending the directory beyond elite team sport.
