Mehmet Ata Öztürk is a researcher in adapted physical education and disability sport whose institutional record is maintained by Middle East Technical University. Mehmet Ata Öztürk graduated from METU physical education in 1997, completed a Florida State master’s in 2001 and earned an Indiana University Bloomington kinesiology doctorate in 2007.
His doctorate examined goals and factors predicting sport participation among people with physical disabilities; the record also lists a special-education doctoral minor. Mehmet Ata Öztürk worked at Marmara’s physical education school in 2008–2014 before a METU assistant-professor appointment from 2014.
