Life and work
The story behind the role.
Kenan Şebin competed in athletics and cross-country skiing between 1982 and 1996, representing Türkiye internationally in athletics. He completed physical-education studies at Atatürk University in 1996 and earned a sports-management doctorate in 2010.
He became one of Türkiye’s early qualified curling coaches in 2010 and introduced curling teaching at Atatürk University. His federation biography records leadership of opening and closing ceremonies at the 2011 Winter Universiade, later federation presidency and appointment as a professor in 2021. His scholarship addresses sports management, psychosocial issues and sports history, including books and edited curling volumes.
