Life and work
The story behind the role.
Altay holds undergraduate degrees in law from Istanbul University and business administration from Anadolu University. He also completed postgraduate study in economic law at Istanbul Bilgi University and capital markets and stock exchanges at Marmara University.
His İSTA member biography dates his legal work in sports, commercial and financial matters to 1998, expert-witness work to 2004 and arbitration work to 2006. He became a mediator in 2013. He served on the Istanbul Bar’s board from 2010 to 2014 and became founding president of its arbitration centre in 2018.
