The story behind the role.

Elif Lermi Bekdemir is a former national rower who, according to the federation, became Türkiye's first female rower to win an international gold medal in 1992 and received the Turkish National Olympic Committee's Eftal Nogan Athlete of the Year award that year.

She graduated in physical education teaching from Marmara University in 1996, completed general and sport-massage training in 2005, and later led a Paralympic School Days awareness project after completing disability-and-sport facilitator training. Her documented research on disability-awareness education was nominated for an award at a sport-sciences congress in 2014.
