Life and work
The story behind the role.
Damla Güler leads Ankara University’s coach-education programme on child protection in sport and is listed on the Turkish Table Tennis Federation’s child-protection committee.
She completed physical-education teacher education at Ankara University in 2012–17, followed by postgraduate study in 2017–19 and a sport-education doctorate in 2020–24. Her doctoral research evaluated child-protection education for prospective physical-education teachers.
Her university appointments progressed from research assistant in 2018–21 to lecturer in 2021–24 and assistant professor from 2024.
Damla Güler was listed on the federation's Child Protection Board when reviewed on 7 October 2026.
