Life and work
The story behind the role.
Aydın Ayhan Güney is a co-founder of Argeus Travel & Events, established in Cappadocia in 1993 with Muammer Sak and Veli Tören. His career connects tourism operations with cycling and mass-participation running events.
In a 2020 interview, he discussed developing Gran Fondo Çeşme, Tour of Antalya and the Cappadocia Ultra-Trail, including the practical importance of local-government coordination, international participants and sponsorship. The interview records his graduation from Gazi University’s English department in 1995.
Argeus’s official event history records operations for the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye from 2008 to 2015, the 2007 European Mountain Bike Championships and the 2010 European Road Championships. These are organisational credits of the company he co-founded, not individual sporting results.
