Luke Littler retains the PDC world title

Luke Littler won the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship final 7-1 against Gian van Veen at Alexandra Palace. After losing the opening set, the defending champion won seven in succession to retain the Sid Waddell Trophy.
The result made Littler the first player to win consecutive PDC world titles since Gary Anderson in 2016. Van Veen's run to a first world final was also significant, moving the Dutch player into the highest tier of the sport's rankings and televised events.
