Denmark beat Iceland 31-28 and Germany defeated Croatia by the same three-goal margin to reach the men's European final.

The Men's EHF EURO moved from a 24-team opening phase across Denmark, Norway and Sweden to a final-weekend pairing between Denmark and Germany. On 30 January, Germany beat Croatia 31-28 before Denmark overcame Iceland 31-28 in Herning.
