Sheffield crowns Europe's figure skating champions

The 117th European Championships brought 163 skaters and couples from 36 ISU members to Sheffield across four disciplines.

The ISU European Figure Skating Championships ran from 13 to 18 January at Sheffield's Utilita Arena. The entry included 31 men, 38 women, 17 pairs and 30 ice-dance couples representing 36 ISU members.

Niina Petrokina retained the women's title, Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron won ice dance, and Anastasiia Metelkina and Luka Berulava became the first Georgian pair to take European gold. The event also helped shape federation quotas for the next edition.
