Elena Rybakina won the 2026 Australian Open women's singles title after a two-hour, 22-minute final against Aryna Sabalenka. The Kazakh player took the opening set, lost the second and then recovered from 0-3 down in the deciding set to close the match 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
The result reversed the outcome of their 2023 Melbourne final. It delivered Rybakina's first Australian Open championship and her second Grand Slam singles title, while extending one of the leading rivalries in the women's game.
